Camofleur
Inspired by Dazzle Camoflage, a naval defense tactic in WWI that utilized formal painting techniques on merchant ships to deceive German U-boats, these works consider space and picture plane as opportunities for disruption. Layered patterns, manipulated perspective, and high contrast palettes confound perception and fool the eye.
